Possible reasons for the spread of cystitis

Cystitis is lower urinary tract infection caused due to attack of Ecoli bacteria on the urinary bladder. The Ecoli bacterium is found near the digestive track or near the bowel. Eventually, the bacterium is harmless but it tends to multiply and create infection, once it enters into the urinary bladder. However, the bacteria can settle inside the urinary bladder due to several reasons that are accompanied by symptoms of bladder infections.

The bacteria can travel from the anus to the bladder due to:

1. Improper toilet hygiene: A majority of women suffer from cystitis due to short size of urethra. This leads to easy transfer of Ecoli bacteria from the anus to the urethra. Hence, women must clean themselves from urethra to anus, rather than from anus to urethra because this is the prime reason for transmission of the infectious bacteria into the urinary bladder.

2. Inherent deformation in the urinary system: Some people suffer from the infection after every few days.These men and boys might have acquired the disease from their ancestors. Thus, they are incapable of emptying their urinary bladder at the time of secretion.

3. Catheter: People suffering from catheter are highly prone to the infectious disease. The changes in the catheter can lead to transfer of bacteria to the urinary bladder leading to cystitis.

4. Enlarged size of prostrate among men: An infection in the prostate or urethra leads to development of bladder infections in several men. The infection restricts them from emptying the bladder completely during urinary secretion.

5. Due to pregnancy: A pregnant women has higher chances of being infected with cystitis. Hence, a pregnant woman must be immediately treated for the disease, since it can lead to premature delivery or kidney infection.

Therefore, you must take the necessary precaution in order to avoid acquiring the contagious disease. However, if you still suffer from the disease, then take immediate medication to cure cystitis.
